Aaron Poritz is an American designer based in Brooklyn. He uses exquisite materials blended with flawless fabrication. His work highlights the natural patterns and texture found in wood, stone and ceramics. The furniture has a timeless quality; though contemporary, it evokes nostalgia. His sculpture is unique, playful and mysterious, inspired by ancient functional forms.
About Juliana
Filmmaker, Creative Director
Born in Ecuador, in the middle of the Andes, in the beautiful city of Quito. She was raised between the city, a fisherman town on the coast of Ecuador, and the Amazon rainforest. She is a Director, Editor and Producer based in New York City and is the founder of Pulga Productions.

Juliana just directed and produced her first feature film, Capulí, and is currently in the process of Post Production.
She is the founder of the project Beyond Lagartococha, through which two indigenous communities in the Amazon have access to education. These two communities which by their isolation and small size, do not have public education options. Juliana began this project at the age of 15 when she saw that the children of these communities had no education and were condemned to illiteracy. She started raising funds for this project by making videos which led her to pursue her career as a filmmaker at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

Juliana Pallares, speaker 2018, created a school in a vulnerable indigenous community focused on providing basic education while reinforcing culture by teaching them poems, myths and legends of their community. For the past eight years she has been working so that the indigenous people of the Ecuadorian Amazon not only have their human rights but also their collective rights as a nationality.
